The impact that a side extension can have on the size and layout of the garden room is significant. With the addition of a side extension, a Kitchen Dining room can be created where people can eat and sit and enjoy an improved visual and physical connection with the garden beyond. In the summer the interior and exterior spaces open onto each other. Rooflights
The roof itself can be finished in many ways. Often we have finished the roof as a green sedum roof with rooflight set within and this can be an attractive feature to look down upon from the upper level rooms. Openable rooflights serve to improve the interior space. Glazed doors onto the garden can be bi-folding, sliding, central pivot or openable French doors. Often side extensions form a part of a larger re-working of the house.
