New Roof Structure and Terrace
Shape Architecture has just submitted a Pre-App looking at the addition of a new structure and terrace to a duplex flat in the Kings Road. We have obtained planning permission previously for various types of rooftop development and our pre-app for this project explores four options. The pre-app process is very useful in obtaining early comments from the planning department prior to submitting a full application.
The options range from a new mansard extension that is more traditional in its form and is a common roof top development in the local area, to an option that steps away from the building edge but is far more light and distinctive in its form.

We also include a mansard extension giving onto a terrace and an option which is simply a terrace with a low level accessible rooflight providing access.
