Basement Projects

Shape Architecture has been designing and buildng basement extensions for over fifteen years now and has considerable expertise in and a large portfolio of basement projects with over 40 Basement Projects undertaken. Our projects cover the full range of basement extensions and include basement extensions below houses and flats, to Mews properties and listed buildings and below gardens. These have been built throughout London and in particular in Fulham, Kensington and Chelsea and Westminster. Given such experience we fully understand the technical and programme issues that concern basement projects and equally the key design issues of daylight and access. We have built up an excellent team of consultant colleagues and basement contractors with whom we have built many basement extensions. We are able to take our Clients through an extensive range of floor plans and layouts that we have produced. The success of many of these basement extensions has been in the integration of a variety of lightwells and the design and location of connecting stairs.
