Building Surveys by Shape Architecture
To improve its building surveying, which is a key part of a successful project, Shape Architecture has recently bought Imapper, a sophisticated and reliable laser surveying system. Which creates 100% reliable survey plans, sections and elevations.
Shape Architecture carries out its own surveys as this enables us to engage with the building being surveyed earlier and with all the advantages of gaining a quicker more thorough understanding of the structure rather than inheriting drawings from a third party surveying company. This benefits our clients.
The culmination of our digital site survey is the production of a Measured Survey brochure which we issue to our clients as a PDF brochure and forms the foundation for all follow on work.
This brochure will contain floor plans at all levels, a roof plan, all the building elevations and a series of sections. As with all our work, the measured survey brochure also incorporates a 3D model of the existing property and this will be key in developing the design proposals as the project evolves.
