Contemporary Architecture
In the creation of light, contemporary spaces the use of glass is key. In many of our projects, we have incorporated glass into feature stairs, both externally and internally. Several of our Fulham basement extensions have external glazed stairs in the rear light well. When combined with glass balustrade s this serves to bounce light and reflect views with an emphasis on transparency when viewed from the basement. Other projects have seen internal stairs combine glass balustrades with timber or steel stairs. Often these stairs lead down to a basement level and sat below rooflights again foster a sense of lightness and transparency.
