• I Can see the Sea!

Following on from last week’s blog which looked at our new project in Rustington to the west of Worthing, where the challenge is to establish a sea view, this project is located in Normans Bay and gives directly onto the beach.

The location is very impressive with uninterrupted views of sea, sky and beach.

The challenge is to update the existing house to make the most of its very special setting.

We will from the very outset make the most of 3D design and images to explore and describe the project.  This will ensure its potential will be fully realised and that we can fully engage clearly with our Client in the design process.

Shape Architecture was chosen by our Client because of our various projects that have sought to maximise the use of natural light and views within an interior space.

The creation of a series of spaces that progressively open up as one walks through the house and the design of features such as elegant staircases allied to views and light were also important considerations.

The images we show here are from our survey as we put together the measured survey brochure and work begins.

This project near Eastbourne and our other one just outside Worthing are a real joy to work on as both have similar issues and challenges and each a real potential to create something quite special.  We will keep you updated as the work progresses

If you have a home which is not maximising its potential and you would like to create more interesting and light filled spaces, that better connect with the outside, then please feel free to contact us at Shape Architecture.  We would be happy to discuss your project with you!
