Brighton Roof Terrace
Shape Architecture has established a reputation for roof terrace design throughout London and Brighton. We have designed roof terraces to listed buildings, those in Conservation Areas, Mews houses, terraced houses and apartments.
This roof terrace in Brighton with a glazed box forming access is similar to an earlier roof terrace we carried out in Adam and Eve Mews in Kensington,
Both are located in Conservation Areas and are contemporary and striking in their design. Both were granted planning permission without difficulty and at the first time of asking.
In Brighton this roof terrace allows our clients to sit out and enjoy views of the sea. The access sees one side of a glazed box slide over another. A new flight of stairs provide access and the interior is then flooded with light from the glazed box. Views up the stairs are now extended to see the sky. The interior merges with the outside. As with many roof terraces the project includes other extensions and refurbishment.
Here we have added rear extensions to the first floor across the full width of the property. This adds a walk in wardrobe and en suite to each of the two existing bedrooms.
