Planning Permission in Putney Conservation Area

Shape Architecture has just obtained planning permission for an extension in Dover House Road, Putney which is part of the Dover House Estate Conservation Area.  The project sees the addition of a single storey rear extension with green sedum roof and associated internal re-modelling.  With the addition of a glazed door assembly and large rooflight the interior is now a light, bright and contemporary space.  Given that the project is located in a Conservation Area we had to produce an extensive Heritage Statement demonstrating an understanding of the characteristics of the area and how the works to the property should be seen as acceptable by the planning authority.
