Planning permission in Wandsworth
Shape Architecture has just been granted planning permission for a large roof terrace in Wandsworth alongside rear dormer and feature roof glazing. The project helps transform the property which at present has quite a small garden. Much emphasis is out on the use of glass promoting a sense of transparency and connection with the outside.
The route out to the roof terrace is characterized by the large roof light over and this helps bring natural light into the heart of the house whilst adding to the experience of going up onto the roof terrace. Shape Architecture was chosen by our clients because of our use glass and natural light and this project builds upon such an approach.
As with all our projects the design of the roof terrace was explored and communicated through a series of 3D computer models supported by 2D drawing and hand drawn sketches. This creative and rigorous approach serves to ensure the potential of the project is realised and a successful planning application granted.
