Community Projects
Some of the first projects that Shape Architecture undertook were Community Projects. These include the EcoShed 02 at Godolphin Gardens for the Hammersmith Community Gardens Association. The first EcoShed being carried out for this client when our Director was at a previous practice. We have continued to work on a large range of Community projects and particular enjoy the process of design and construction with community groups and all the potential this offers. Our Community projects, as in other sectors, range in size, type and location. They have also offered the opportunity to pursue a Sustainable Agenda. Both Eco-Sheds for example use recycled materials and products. Each as have a sustainable roof, one a Sedum roof and the other a Rubble roof. We find that our experience of working with community groups and our use of 3D graphics and free-hand drawings form a sound basis for a successful and enjoyable project.
